RED pasta and wine

brand identity

Red is a self-initiated branding and art direction project for a pasta and wine bar. The bar is designed to be equally satisfying whether you fancy a stylish night out or a cosy night in. Shapes and lines are loose, free and fun to reflect the type of drawing you might create when tipsy and to reflect the carefree vibe of the restaurant. This is reiterated throughout the branding including the font choice, and logo design. The design is also inspired by the shapes found in pasta, which you can see in the original mood board. I designed the art direction to resemble film and disposable cameras that are often used on nights out. The heavy flash and contrast reiterates the metaphorical contrast between nights out vs nights in and introvert vs extrovert.
